“When the mind is calm, how quickly, how smoothly, how beautifully you will perceive everything.” Paramahansa Yogananda

My meditation journey started with reading  "Autobiography of a Yogi", by Paramahansa Yogananda. Over time I discovered that many notable people were also inspired by Paramahansa (George Harrison, Steve Jobs, Ravi Shankar, Gandhi, Gene Roddenberry, Yes, Judy Collins, etc).

Upon absorbing this masterpiece, and listening to studies done by scientists like Sara Lazar, I decided to give Yoga and Mediation another chance as previous experiences left me empty, and un-inspired. Fate (and a bit of help from Google) brought me to a small ashram in the North Carolina mountains that was originally founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (Popularized Transcendental Meditation, guru to the Beatles and Beach Boys). Here is where I had my 1st experience with true mindful yoga and meditation.

Over time I wanted to become more immersed into the practice, and decided as with other interests in my life, the best way to excel at something is to teach it. Which leads to my current practice as a certified Ananda Meditation teacher. Thus far I have instructed a variety of people around the world, in both Corporate group settings, and 1 on 1 private settings.
