GrandFather Glory
A late October snow from the previous night presented this incredible view of Grandfather Mountain. The base of the mountain was bursting in fall colors, the top glistened with ice and melting snow (see how his snow covered nose touches the clouds). In all of my visits to the NC Mountains, I can not remember such a unique weather / nature event, where 2 different seasons peacefully displayed each others beauties side by side at the same moment in time.
