Queen Elizabeth II 90th Birthday celebration

As the good Lord has blessed me with the fortune of opportune timing once again, our trip coincided with Queen Elizabeth II 90th birthday celebration / the Trooping of the colour, the EuroCup futbol tourney, and the air of possible succession from the EU. An exciting time for the UK indeed! This was the Queen's day though, shared with many friendly Brits including Carol and Veronica who persevered the crushing crowd to view the trooping from the park side, Emily who explained to me what the "Mal" was, and Dennis and Kim who I met at the end of the day. They traveled all the way from Australia for the occasion. I must have looked pretty ragged as they were quick to offer me water!
